In order to help you settle in smoothly, we’ve put together some important information that we hope will make your onboarding experience as seamless as possible:

Getting Set Up

Please take a moment to review the following information at your convenience:

  • Gatorlink Account: A GatorLink account is an individual’s computer network identity at the University of Florida. You should have received an email with your UFID number with an invitation to set up your GatorLink login credentials for our systems. If you haven’t yet, please reach out to your HR contact listed below.
  • Uniform items and business cards: Please use the order form below.
  • Risk Assessment for Animal Contact: Prior to your start date, you will receive an email with an attached Risk Assessment for Animal Contact Form. This must be completed prior to starting clinics as receiving clearance for animal contact is required for your new position. Please be prepared to provide past rabies records (including any immunizations and titers available) and most recent tetanus information if available. Any necessary inoculations will be provided by the University of Florida during orientation.
  • Checking your UF email: Once your GatorLink account has been set up, you will be able to access your UF email account here: GatorMail
  • Gainesville Housing: Please find information about housing in Gainesville here: Apartments and Homes for Rent

This must be completed in a timely manner to ensure that your hire will be finalized prior to arriving on your first day. Failure to complete this paperwork timely can lead to not being able to enroll in your benefit plan at orientation and could possibly delay your first paycheck.
  • GATORONE: The GATORONE is the official identification of the University of Florida. Your ID will be provided to you at orientation. Please find more information about submitting a picture for your ID in the FAQ section below.
